Abenójar Tungsten (“ABT” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that its initiative, ‘Sustainable Water Management from a Spanish Mining Project’, has been certified by the European Commission (DG REGIO) as part of the Communities for Climate (“C4C”) initiative.
The certification represents a significant endorsement of ABT’s approach to responsible water management and environmental sustainability at the El Moto Tungsten Project (“El Moto” or the “Project”) in Abenójar, Ciudad Real, Spain.

About the Communities for Climate initiative
The C4C initiative, promoted by the European Commission in response to the challenges posed by climate change, aims to support 50 community-led projects across 11 EU member states to strengthen their capacity to adapt to and mitigate the effects of a changing climate.
Through this certification, the European Commission has confirmed that ABT’s project has been actively involved in the C4C network, has received specialist technical support from experts and community facilitators, and has contributed to building new connections between local stakeholders to facilitate peer-to-peer learning and the exchange of practical environmental solutions.
